Those two walls were opened up.

Kitchen before.
Kitchen “office” before.
Kitchen before with the six inch deep pantry. Yikes no counter space.
After, with new everything, down to the floors.
Eat-in bar we created.
Bar and prep space. I love having built in garbage and recycling drawers.
We plumbed propane to the kitchen for the cooktop and I love my Thermador oven and subway tile backsplash.

So, just shy of two years, we are “done” with the kitchen. We bought our house in the summer of 2007 and promptly launched a massive remodel project, from the roof to the insulation and vapor barrier below the house. New wood floors, new paint in and out, walls down, doors in. It has been quite the process and now we are happy to take a little break from making weekly (or daily) trips to Home Depot and Ikea.
